Guest guest
Welcome Thea! I am 100% raw and I feel the more restaurants incorporate more raw vegan foods into their menus (not just leave it up to raw restaurants) the better! I look forward to a time where I can find more conventional restaurants - especially while traveling. Guest guest
Welcome Thea, and please feel free to start some threads. We need some new energy in here and positivity. I can't answer the reasons why people come onto a list and attempt to control others or insult them into silence, but I hope this all passes soon. I joined thinking the topic was raw foods. Instead I'm hearing about religious myths, the promotion of animal flesh/effluvia as healthy, and D. Grahams ideas forced on people. I really would love to hear about raw living foods, recipes, your restaurant, and all things raw living foods. Nice to meet you! Guest guest
I don't recall any ideas being forced on anyone. Besides, 811 is a raw diet. I would think that discussion about it belong here more than discussions about, say, supplements. Guest guest
I do. With that, I'll add to the list the immature behavior of instigating and incredibly immature behavior. Yes, 8/1/1 is raw, but in my & and the opinion of others, unbalanced and not a good diet for optimum health. Especially for extended periods of time. Raw doesn't always mean healthy. And food supplements are very much a relevant topic to those looking to eat raw for health. Especially to those who study organic gardening, etc. All other forms of the raw diet are denounced as unhealthy, Janet, and it is irresponsible. You are just part of the choir, so you don't notice. Guest guest
> ACTUALLY, 8/1/1 is more Natural Hygiene based. Lets see. In 80-10-10, they say eat fresh ripe raw whole organic fruits and vegetables. Last I checked, that fresh raw fruits and vegetables were considered a raw food! Supplements on the other hand, who knows if they are really raw unless you made them yourself. To me, a whole apple seems raw, where as a powder in a glass jar, who know? But this is just my opinion, and I've only been doing this all raw thing now for 6 years.

Guest guest
After only 2 weeks it looks like Grant is really winning. Daddy announced yesterday he is ok with us moving to less no meat diet. He said he would give it a try. I was shocked but happy.
Guest guest
That's wonderful that he's willing to try! I think we both came upon it as something we were both wanting to do (we'd both independently were veggie off and on before we met and when we considered having a child we knew we wanted to make the change permanent). Remember - focus on the new good stuff you CAN eat, rather than what you have to give up - might help make it easier for a while.
