Guest guest
Dear Friends, Thank you for the conversation and inspiration on raw foods. I have been interested in raw food approaches for about 30 years starting with a three week retreat at Hippocrates Institute. What helps the most is having support from other people who follow a similar philosophy and so I appreciate being part of this group and reading messages reminding me to eat tender green leaves and stuff like that (I made sure to have grapes followed by tender green leaves today, among other things). I have a practical question regarding juicers. I mostly just eat the whole food and have never been a big juice person. However, I am interested in juicers and juicing of vegetables (broccoli and tomatoes and other vegetables and fruits). As a fairly busy person, I would like to get a juicer and/or blender/juicer which is Super-Easy to clean after using it without much fuss. The emphasis is on Super-Easy to clean by simply putting it under running warm or cold water. Any advice on that would be appreciated. Thanks. Namaste and love to all Harsha

I know people with $550 green star juicers that collect dust because the process and clean-up is so ridiculously ornate. I went to www.discountjuicers.com, which Dr. Rick Dina told me about in a conversation we had. They have customer reviews!! They help A LOT (and the prices RULE). Basically, I got the Samsung. But the best to get, that I always refer to people and that they always are so thrilled about, is the Omega. It is essentially the same one, but much dryer pulp. ;-) It ALSO does wheatgrasss, leafy greens, AND fruits and veggies, nuts, etc. THAT IS RARE. http://www.discountjuicers.com/omega8003.html Check it out! :-) Erica
Guest guest
Hi Harsha, I have a Champion Juicer and really like it. It's easy to clean, in my opinion. I just rinse the parts under cold water and use a small nail brush then drip dry. Probably takes a minute to disassemble and wash.
Guest guest
I have had the Green Power Gold for over 7 years and to me it is the best. Clean-up is simple and juice is wonderful and the best part you can keep the juice fresh in canning jars for up to 3 days. I have tried the Samsung, Omega, Juice Man, and others and always return to the Green Power. I teach rawfood classes this is how I was able to try the many different types (just in case you're wondering). After 7 years I only replaced a twin gear this past month. It is really worth the investment (in my opinion) vj www.freshfromnature.com
