Hi All,

I " ll be going out to eat lunch tomorrow with my MOMS club, and I was

wondering if there are any raw vegan foods usually at a fairly " nice "

Mexican restaurant. I'm not a lover of Mexican food, but I am going to

be sociable and am hoping that I can find something reasonably healthy

to eat!

Thanks for any suggestions!!

Hi Lynne,

Something that's pretty easy is to just get a large salad w/lettuce and

tomatoes, and topped w/ salsa, avocado/guacamole, and maybe lime if you

want it.

Have fun!

I'm not sure what type of restaurant it is or where you are, but I know in

our California/Mexican cuisine, most Mexican restaurants have fresh

guacamole at least. I know of some places that has very nice (loaded with

all raw veggies) salads on the menus for people just like us. You can order

guacamole and fresh salsa on the side. Meat is cheese is not even included

unless you order that separately.

Check out the menu. If certain dishes have meat or cheese, you can always

order w/o. If they dont have salads, you can always ask for cut veggies,

lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, lime, etc.

Yes, I was actually thinking of eating a rather large fruit salad a half

hour before leaving for the restaurant. I'm not sure that they would

allow me to bring my own food in. I've never been to this place before.

That's a good point about checking for mayo or sour cream. I " ll be sure

to do that!

Laurie and Carla,

Thank you so much for the suggestions!! I will definitely do

that, although I am not fond of eating non-organic lettuce, since it's

one of the 12 on the dirty dozen list.

Thanks,

LYnne
