Guest guest
Susanne, What I feel to be true, from what I have read and from personal experience, is that the more 'toxic' you are, the more repellant greens seem. When I'm back on junk food, the last thing on earth I want is a salad or sprouts or even fruit. As soon as my body starts to clear out a bit I look forward to my greens again. I still don't crave a big bowl of sprouts like I look forward to an avocado, but there's something about knowing that this super live food is so full of enzymes that makes it appealing. Especially when you grow them yourself. And it really is easy-incase you haven't tried it. Try sproutman.com for advice and seeds and sprouting bags. And sorry if I'm totally wrong and you've been raw for a while but still can't tolerate them. In that case I would probably just stop trying for a while and hope that you feel drawn back to them down the line. I say trust that your body is getting all it needs right now, from other sources. ' Nutritional Yeast is great for you and makes everything cheezy. Works like a charm! I use it in my pestos. :-) > I really like your website. When is your cookbook coming out? > Thanks! Hopefully by the end of the year! Should be, at least! Erica Erica
Guest guest
Thanks Roger, I omitted this completely!! An excellent book for those interested is Excitotoxins: the Taste that Kills, by Dr. Russell L. Blaylock. Susanne ------------------------- Hello Susanne, I see that Elchanan has partly answered this already. My suggestion would be that this guideline, about eating things that you like, only applies to foods that occur in nature, and when they are eaten in their whole, unprocessed form. Human beings, in their attempts to improve on nature (and to make a stack of money), have found ways of making things that can seduce our taste buds, but are definitely not healthy. (This includes some raw-foodies, not just the mainstream junk-food manufacturers!) Regards Roger Rowan
