Hi all,

I only started eating mostly raw foods the last week in August. Today my

blender broke. What is your favorite blender for smoothies and why? I need

input.

I use a Vita-Mix:

At first I scoffed at the price but I use it 2-3 times a day for many

different things.

Cry once, pay the $400 and get a Vita-Mix 5000. Virtually no one

uses the dry container, so don't buy any accessories. Vitamix.com

7yr full warantee too. Folks like us actually pound the crap out of

our blenders. Vita Mix is one of the few that can handle it, the

others cost even more.

Hi Marsh,

Congrats on the transition. When I became raw about three months ago,

I spent hours upon hours doing research. Like many people on this

list, I decided to go with the VitaMix and have been more than

satisfied. I use it about 3X per day for almond milk, green

smoothies, spreads, etc... I believe the blade moves at speeds of up

to 250 mph. You can get one for a slightly discounted price at

Costco. It's not cheap, but it's so worth it!

Happy blending,

Rose

Well, so far Vitamix is the hands down winner! Believe it or not my local

Costco just had a Vitamix demonstration last week, but my blender wasn't broken

then. I wish Costco would sell them all the time. Thanks for your response

Rose.
