Guest guest
Erica, I'm going to guess that, given the opportunity to elaborate on what you wrote below, it would come out rather differently. Our symptoms ARE our bodies cleansing, restoring, and replenishing themselves. That is, our symptoms ARE our healing processes. When we interrupt our symptoms, as with drugs (whether allopathic, cleanses, herbs, or whatever), we act with violence upon ourselves, blocking our own reconstruction and rejuvenation, harming ourselves in order to " get rid of the symptoms " . Our symptoms are our friend. They are our being at work. Note that I'm not saying that our symptoms are an indicator of our being at work. Rather, our symptoms ARE our being at work. Beyond this, our symptoms are the endless stream of information sent by our subconscious mind to attract the attention and focus of our conscious awareness. This is part of why, on so many occasions, I've written that expanding self-awareness is a cornerstone of sustainable, lifelong health and vitality. Part of our process of transitioning, as I teach it, lies in reconnecting with ourselves, in relearning to notice what symptoms we actually have, and in learning to perceive these symptoms through an entirely new lens, through a new set of paradigms and beliefs. Our symptoms are us. Noticing and comprehending our symptoms lies at the heart of our well-being. When we reach this place, THEN every aspect of healthful living becomes attainable with grace and ease. For those interested in learning MUCH more about this topic in a very easy way, the Path of Health Community offers a free audio program entitled " Messages From Within: Exploring Our Symptoms and Senses " , available at http://snipurl.com/two_minds Best to all, Elchanan _____ Erica [schoolofrawk] Friday, October 26, 2007 9:35 AM rawfood [Raw Food] Elchanan, Your DENIAL at work (WAS: Re: Erica -- Your imagination at work ...) > Since changing my diet to raw vegan, I have not been eager to go to a doctor and get tested for that which I already know. Guest guest
I have worked with and networked with some of the top chiropractors in the country. Symptoms are largely deceiving. Fevers are not bad and are a healthy response, versus death being the first " symptom " of 1/3 of all heart attacks (roughly). And so forth. They just really are a poor gauge. You can have no symptoms and be deficient, you can have some symptoms because you are being kind to your body and detoxing it on live juices, etc. I meant what I said and I said what I meant. :-) Erica
Guest guest
- Erica >death being the first " symptom " of 1/3 of all heart attacks (roughly). It depends on what symptoms you identify, really. Some people might not see obesity, " unfitness " , fatigue, stress, etc as symptoms, as they are quite usual these days. Usual does not mean healthy.
