Guest guest
Susanne, May I suggest this to you: that your symptoms are real, that they were NEVER cleared out, not even a little bit, but rather that they were buried, NUMBED out, by the other way(s) of eating and of living. I assure you that what you are experiencing has zero to do with what you NEED to eat (protein or otherwise) and everything to do with what you have STOPPED EATING. For the first step into health, from the perspective of diet, is to stop poisoning ourselves. The raw food is actually quite secondary; You could eat nothing at all and move forward even more quickly than you presently are. (And with stronger symptoms for a bit, too!) When we eat more simply, when eat in ways that hydrate and oxygenate every part of our body, when we lighten the load upon our digestive process, we free up an enormous amount of energy. And we peel away our armor, our numbness. And sometimes, all that we have never worked through, all that we have never resolved from our past comes roaring into the foreground. One perspective, standing in a place where the focus is upon symptoms, would conclude that " it just is not going well " . And so you say here. But another perspective, standing in a place where we clearly distinguish cause from effect, problem from symptom, might conclude that you have just begun to open before yourself the opportunity of a lifetime. Right this very moment, as I type this message. I have a dear friend and companion in Path of Health Community who has FINALLY reached the point, just within the past few days, where she can eat 100% raw with ease and grace. And she is MISERABLE!!! So miserable, in fact, that she even called me up just to tell me about it and set her own mind (and perhaps her husband's mind) at ease. Honestly, I told her, in her situation, to expect to continue to feel miserable for a few more days. And after that, if she continues on her present course, she may not ever experience another so-called " migraine " headache again. I imagine she will post on this fairly soon, when she feels ready. Yesterday I shared the two stories, one my own, the other told by Smokey Santillo, describing similar, short-term misery. Did you happen to read these? They are in post #35539 in the group archive. The only way to clean up a mess is to clean up that mess. You can do it quickly or slowly, well or poorly. Now you have started upon a course that allows you to do it quickly and with excellence. Choose the straightest path, choose excellence. choose life. I SO encourage you to listen to the free audio program, offered by the Path of Health Community, entitled " Messages From Within: Exploring Symptoms and Sense " and available at http://snipurl.com/two_minds. Open a whole new worldview before yourself ... it's there for you to receive, if you will. Best, Elchanan _____ susanneca799 [susanne] Saturday, October 27, 2007 12:56 AM rawfood [Raw Food] How do I get enough protein? I am still trying to figure out what the right diet is for ME. For this whole week I have really been trying to eat A LOT less meat and A LOT more raw food. It just is not going well. When I was eating moderate amount of meat and A LOT of raw vegetables, that went great. I just feel like I am not getting ehough protein. Suddenly I am having a return of all my old symptoms that had completely cleared on the low carb, high protein diet like anxiety, depression, mood swings, feeling really hyper, etc. My blood sugar has to be spiking and dropping off the charts. I have been eating sprouts and greens which supposedly have protein, but I do not think that they have enough. None of this stuff happens when I eat meat or fish at each meal even in small amounts. Any suggestions on what I should do would be greatly appreciated. For fruits I have only been eating strawberries and raspberries which are low in sugar so that can't be causing it. All of the juicing has been with low sugar greens and other vegetables. Is there something I can do to stop these symptoms or could this maybe not be the right path for me? Thanks, Susanne
Guest guest
> I am still trying to figure out what the right diet is for ME. This is actually very normal. Don't be alarmed! :-) And the meat you ingested was never your friend. How much fat are you eating? Erica
