I would use more apple and less greens at first while you get used to the taste. erica
Guest guest
Hey, Caron, you're becoming quite good at this!! :) Yes, I put cut-up fruits all over my salads, instead of any dressing. Best, Elchanan _____ Caron [carongroups] Wednesday, October 31, 2007 7:56 AM rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Re: Appreciating Our Symptoms: Symptoms At The Moment of Transition >>> Dee Porterfield Anyway, on a raw food topic, this past weekend I juiced the " green lemonade " recipe given in one of the raw food detox books. I got it down ONLY by pretending to be one of the contestants on the Survivor show. It was nasty. All day everything smelled like greens and tasted like greens to me. I used kale, romaine, apples, and a lemon. Does anyone have a green juicing recipe or even a product that is available at health food stores that might be more palatable to my sweet tooth? Hi Dee, Try eating just fruits for a week (pacify that sweet tooth ;o) ), then start eating salads. After a few days of fruit, I find that lettuce and cucumber start to taste really refreshing, and even mildly sweet themselves. I don't go for the hard-to-chew greens, or the ones that get a bitter taste after a couple of bites. I love cos lettuce! I've heard, though haven't tried it myself, that you can even put fruit on a salad, so that might work for you ) Caron
