Guest guest
I have bipolar, deep depression and chronic fatigue and fibro. and don't sleep. I take paxil and adivan which doesn't seem to help. I just bought L-Tyrosine and Taurine because I saw it in a Book in a health food store. Anyone know the extend of what this will do. Wake me up or put me to sleep? pauline
Guest guest
Hi Pauline! Thanks for sharing. Those are amino acids. What is your current diet like & what was it like before? Have you changed it at all? All of those challenges have been helped significantly by diet. I've seen it firsthand (and experienced it firsthand in terms of depression and chronic fatigue). Welcome! Guest guest
Pauline, I used to suffer from severe Bipolar Disorder (Type I with psychotic episodes) and L- Tyrosine and Taurine helped me in my transition off meds towards the 100% raw diet that now has helped me live entirely without symptoms for 3 years! (I no longer take any supplements either.) L-Tyrosine can be dangerous--can bring about hypomania if overused, but is also useful to " jumpstart " you out of a deep lethargic sort of depression. Taurine is a good emergency " calm down " supplement. Very grounding. But Kava Kava is much better than both of those!! Makes you happy and relaxed without being sleepy. Lovely. What's even more lovely is the amazing drug-like effect of a fresh durian... Yes, that's the real good stuff. Excercise is so incredibly stabilizing, though, I've discovered, moreso than any drug or supplement. I wish my psychiatrists had told me that running every morning at a regular time could just make a world of difference in my mental functioning! Hint: if you're going raw, DON'T buy into the " superfoods " craze! Eat simply. In my experience, they are dangerous to those with a psychiatric history, especially cacao and maca! Feel free to email me privately if I can help you iin more detail! -Storm > Pauline <pshreiman wrote: > I have bipolar, deep depression and chronic fatigue and fibro. and > don't > sleep. Guest guest
I would actually RECOMMEND Superfoods in terms of Green Supplements, without question.
