Guest guest
My husband is insisting that I go and get tested for Lyme disease. I had to remove a tick in late August, never got the bulls eye rash just a large red lump for about a week. I have been having a lot of pain in my knees, hips, and other joints for about a week. He is convinced that the bad headache I had at the end of summer and now these symptoms are Lyme disease. I got through the headache without anything but rest and patience. I would probably never take the antibiotics they usually prescribe for this because I would think they would do more harm than good. Anyone have any advice? Thanks, Laura
Guest guest
YES. Laura, it is estimated up to 1 in 2 people have Lymes. To be honest with you, most Lymes tests are just inferior. They will test negative when you have it, because they don't test right. I have friends who went through this for years. Ultimately, from studying this, you are very wise to be against antibiotics. HOWEVER, if you have been infected with Lymes, I would do them in a HEARTBEAT. It is so much easier to repopulate with probiotics later than it is to knock out a pleomorphic, widely & strongly speculated GMO bacteria (spirochete) out of all of your organs, later down the line. Don't mess with Lymes, it's a different animal. Erica Laura <littleladsbasket wrote: My husband is insisting that I go and get tested for Lyme disease. Guest guest
Get tested. Take colloidal silver. I'm sure there are many other good suggestions people will send in too. Lyme is not something to ignore. Alex
Guest guest
Too true...... As I said, I say this 1 in a million times, but I'd personally take the antibiotics if it's just this initial stage. Otherwise, welcome to a beast of a problem that you will deal with forever. I mean, just knock it out now. Easier to repopulate the gut. Much easier. Erica Alex Knight <apknight2007 wrote: Get tested. Take colloidal silver. A beneficiary said " Colloidal Silver hit it pretty hard " , it is effective across a wide spectrum including protozoans. The herb Andrographis is also really good for Lyme. -- the kneeling fool raw, holistic, natural, diet for body and mind http://health.rawfoodsforhealth/ urine_therapy
Guest guest
Beth, My husband and I both have Lyme. Do not wait another minute. This disease is devastating and you have no idea what it is capable of. Find a Lyme literate doctor (no small feat) who will administer the " right tests " by Igenex labs http://www.igenex.com/. I suggest that you be tested for the " co-infections " also. These tests are very expensive but they will save your quality of life and possibly your life. I have a small list of doctors (some of whom may no longer be treating Lyme as they are constantly being harrassed by medical boards). Lyme is a devastating disease and a political nightmare. If you email me privately with the state that you live in, I may have a few doctors names. Or you can go to http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org/referral/LogIn.php?setcookie=yes (www.ilads.org) for a referral. Thousands of Lymies travel to other states just to be treated, so you may have to do the same. We do. I personally feel that ABX are the only way to go, at least initially, when dealing with this monster. Good luck, Abbie Tom & Beth Mouser <mouser4 rawfood Saturday, November 10, 2007 7:27:20 PM [Raw Food] Re: Lyme disease question Erica, Do you know who can do the testing for Lyme reliably? I'll check into it again for you. :-) I know my friend is still getting tested successfully (she did for 20 yrs with her fibromyalgia & other crap and it was always negative). Guest guest
What a powerful post. This is the truth - I know many going through it. That it is sexually-communicable is scarier to me than the " threat " of other STDs, etc, in this world. It's a different animal, you are so right. Thanks for posting that link!!
