Laurie, this is from your site that you promote as the only source

of " real " nutritional information in every post:

Since vegetarians/vegans select themselves out of the general

population, they are representative of same, and include the normal

range of ill-educated, self-aggrandizing, abusive, intellectually and

ethically challenged, as well as irrational behaviors as the masses.

Some present themselves as self-styled authorities on human diet, and

steadfastly refuse to consider rational and scientifically-credible

critiques of their public postings. They refuse to correct their

errors.

Are you sure you found the right crowd? We're a raw food VEGAN

group....

Erica

PS - Apparently, others note your " leanings " , too, in your

interactions with Vegsource " correcting " their site:

JN>>... and you do so in a disparaging tone which I find

inappropriate.

Laurie: Fine, why don't you point out ALL instances of

the " disparaging tone " , and I will alter the wording to suit your

particular style. It is important to deal honestly with the content,

and I will happily adjust the form to your standards.

Laurie

I find Laurie refreshing and think she is in the right crowd.

At the same time, I find Elchanan refreshing when he says " enough with

the enzyme nonsense, already " . I think he has a bit more fancifal

world view than I do. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading his input

here.

It's like a buffet, I take what I want and leave the rest for others

with different tastes than I have.

I find the promotion and repeating of what some want to believe to be

annoying. let's stick to actual, documentable facts that can be shown

to be so in repeated experiments.

What do I consider facts?

Well someone brought up heart disease, so let's look at the long term

work of the person with the best documented record of reversing and

curing heart disease. That's called evidence. In this case it's at:

I NEVER said ONLY SOURCE OF REAL anything, now you are simply lying. You

should be ashamed, really ashamed. Isn't lying something you were taught to

avoid?

However IF YOU can refute anything I say there, or here, I'd appreciate the

correction, because I am trying to improve my understanding. Please help me!

Intentionally misrepresenting what I say is simply not honest.

This is an absolutely accurate summary of my experience with dietary

experimenters since I became interested in human nutrition in 1969.

With the exception of a few e-mails thanking me for trying to raise the

horrific intellectual standards expressed here, no one in public that I have

challenged has even ATTEMPTED to support their postings with

scientifically-credible response.

Many use scientific terminology incorrectly, without even taking the effort of

learning the meaning, and refuse to correct themselves/

OK, class, lets see how many here have read a book on biochemistry? A book on

chemistry? A book on organic chemistry?

How many?

Don't be bashful.

How many?

Put your hands up, please.

How many do you see; oh -- " how many " refers to a numerical concept; can you

handle that?

I have been struggling with SAME nonsensical nutribabble for ~37 years, and the

SAME errors are STILL being mindlessly propagated with reckless abandon: " living

enzymes " , rotting foods (rejuvelac), wheatgrass juice, " fermented foods " ,

" predigested foods " , ...

Being completely ignorant of this history, you are unaware of how much

permanent DAMAGE to the raw-vegan " movement " ; if there is such a thing, is done

by these idiotic concepts, such that many people have been put off by the

nonsense and would not even TRY anything approaching raw.

On other forums, I have suggested that people try moving toward a raw diet, and

I get: " Those raw food crazies? "

Go ahead kiddies; being stupid is " way cool! " " Totally! " " You Know what I am

saying? "

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, but did you happen to notice that there WAS NO specific

examples ever given, just UNSUPPORTED FALSE allegations?

HOW COULD you miss that?

Selective editing in a childish attempt to embarrass me will never work. TRY

to tell the Truth, it will become easier as you practice.

The Truth will set, even, you free.

You do remember that my pressuring him to support his claims CAUSED that

abrupt reversal? That's the point of polite academic debate: Put up or shut up.

That's how the Big Kids play.
