Guest guest
This puppy I bought is not taking to vegan food. He wants MEAT! I have teeth marks here he has taken to gnawing on my arm (I am all organic vegan fed, yikes!) . I feel bummed out to have this meat food in the house, and with two small kids I don't have too much extra time or money to try to appeal to his picky palate. He turns his knose at lentils and kous kous, beans, rice, and he's hungry too! He deosn't care for garlic or yeast seasoning. I am actually debating finding him a good home where this won't be an issue, but I am really torn as we all like him. I'm tired anyway, I should think about this more in a few days. IN the meantime any advice? Next, I am going to San Clemente in Southern California for Christmas. Anone know of any good vegan vegi resteraunts between here and San diego worth trying? Guest guest
Hi, When I first got my dogs they were used to a meat-based complete dried food diet, so turned their nose up at any fresh vegetable food - I'm not sure they even recognised it as food. But then I tried vegan complete dried food, and apparently it was similar enough in taste and smell that they moved to that enthusiastically enough. And, gradually, they are now beginning to eat the fresh food I thrown in too. Might be worth a try, anyway. Guest guest
I give my dogs boca burgers/garden burgers etc...all the time. (I just throw them the burger whole like it's a bone) -- they LOVE it. I do feed them "regular" dog food as well....but the good thing is they won't refuse the fake stuff by any stretch of the imagination. So I agree it's worth a try.
