Guest guest
Anastasia I liven ear Totnes. Totnes is brilliant is you are veg*an and the lifestyle there is quite alternative - its my haven! Exeter is quite good too and has a brilliant veg*an restaurant there called Herbies. Things are definitely getting better, but, as the foot and mouth epidemic showed, Devon is a large agricultural county. Meat eaters reign supreme! If you need any info just let me know or e-mail me direct! Guest guest
Hi, I've just moved from Wales to Newton Abbot, south of Exeter in Devon. (That's the UK version, in case there are any other Devons lurking elsewhere in the world!) And I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good vegan/health/farm food shops in the area? Thanks in advance for any help, John

Guest guest
Hi John, nice to see you here as well. As I said on VegansUncensored, I definitely recommend TOTNES. I don't know where I'd be without that place in this large farming county! Good luck. Guest guest
Yes, I've been to Country Life in Newton Abbot and they are very good. Willow in Totnes is excellent and so is Herbies in Exeter. We also have Cranks (the only one left!) in Dartington outside Totnes. I live about seven miles from Totnes, and I am very, very grateful for that. It is my haven - from vegan foods, to incense sticks and everything in between! :-) Janey , " herbvalerian " <herbvalerian> wrote: > Hi, > We were on holiday in Devon last year, check out an indian vege restaurant > in Plymouth- Veggie Perrins, they will do many vegan meals and are very > friendly and helpful. Guest guest
Hi Jo, Thanks. Currently we're renting a small box-like house on a housing estate. But we do hope to find somewhere to buy in the area that can be called a home. Guest guest
Hi, We headed down to Totnes last weekend, and were most impressed. It was so strange to wander into a town and be surrounded by the mix of people you usually find at a festival! That said, the prices for organic veg weren't cheap...
