Guest guest
Hey everyone. Ive been away from the group for a couple of months now. I moved away from Las Vegas on December first. I traveled for a bit and house sat for some people for a whyle. I moved into an apartment in San Francisco on January first, and I have finally got my internet hooked back up. I've missed it greatly. I hope I will be able to catch back up on all of the discutions. I'll try and read some of the posts from the last couple of weeks. So.... I know there are some of you from SF. I have been doing a great job finding places to eat here (Herbervore, The Greens, Golden Era, Ananda Fuara... and MANY more). I also have found great places to shop. Rainbow Grocery is GREAT. I just wanted to get involved with animal rights movements. In Vegas I went to many deminstrations, and meet up's with other like minded people. I really want to get involved here as well. I would think that there would be a lot going on here in SF. Any information you San Fran. Vegans have would be great. Thanks, It's good to be back.!!!! Guest guest
Hi Heidi, I'm relavtively new here and we haven't met. Where in SF do you live? I used to live right on the border between Pacific Heights and Western Addition. But I developed agoraphobia and had to move to a less densely populated area. I now live in Boise, ID, which has only one health food store and one vegetarian restaurant. But at least I can go out in public on a good day. Do your best to stay away from Whole Foods in Pacific Heights. The aisles are about six inches wide and everybody in there (mostly rich yuppies) think they're the only other person in the store. They block the aisles with their carts and give you dirty looks when you ask them politely to move. The place drove me totally insane, but then again, I'm agoraphobic - you might be okay with it. I would suggest, though, that if you have a car, drive to Wild Oats in Berkely - it's less crowded and a way better store. Hope you like your new home! Guest guest
Hello Anna, I actually live in Lower Pacific Heights. I love this neighborhood. Wild Oats over here is really crouded. I only go there when I have to. I like to do most of my shopping at Rainbow Grocery. Has anyone else been there? It is the best Health food store I've EVER seen. It is entirely Vegitarian. Although it does have dairy and eggs, there is absolutly no flesh. The have a great bulk section. It is worker owned and no rich yuppies shop there. All people that seem a lot more like me. It is at 1745 Folsom at 14th st. Under the freeway. Heidi , " Anna Blaine " <annacblaine@h...> wrote: > Hi Heidi, > > I'm relavtively new here and we haven't met. > > Where in SF do you live?
