Guest guest
Thank you for your question about honey and beeswax, and we can include bee pollen. They are indeed not vegan, and they are products of cruelty and death to the bees. The pollen and/or nectar in flowers is vegan. If someone wants to eat pollen and/or nectar, then they should get it straight from the flowers. But honey is made by people stealing it from the beehive, from the bees, who work so hard to get it and store it, and mix it with their own bodily secretions to make honey, wax to build their homes, and bee pollen. Bees work so incredibly hard--you've heard the expression " busy as a bee " ? One worker bee in her entire life can generally make only 1/2 spoonful of honey! She works so hard yet that is all she can make. Can you imagine how many worker bees' life work goes into ONE jar of honey? Imagine how much exploitation and killing goes into all those zillions of jars and big buckets of honey in the stores? And then the bees are either left to starve, or the " beekeepers " replace the honey, which was true food for the bees, with sugar water! Either way, the bees work themselves ragged just to make that little bit of honey, and end up starving, all for humanity's greed! And they work themselves ragged building their wax homes, and lose them, all for humanity's greed! Who needs honey anyway? If someone wants something sweet, just eat a banana! Or blend up some dates! And what on earth do we need beeswax for? And who needs bee pollen? It is another one of those fad " health foods " that is not food for humans. Honey is very unhealthy, it is a refined sugar product, generally devoid of nutrients, and the sugar in honey is very problematic for the body--it is sucrose, a highly concentrated sugar which can result in tooth decay and diabetes, among other problems. The perfect sugar for the body is in fruit. http://www.drbida.com/Tooth%20Decay/Sugar%20Destroys%20Teeth%20 & % 20Health.htm: " FRUCTOSE is the sugar found naturally in fruits. It is easier to digest than sucrose because it does not need insulin in order to get into the liver and other cells, as sucrose does. Guest guest
The bee mite has nearly whiped out the american honney bee. Bee kepers have been essential to their survival. Guest guest
I used to live in California. I thought Trader Joes was a joke. A place for yuppies. As for the oranges. Bees wax is a natural product made from bees. On their under belly they " sweat " a goop which they clean off constantly and pack into walls to form their breeding chambers. Beeswax is as natural as honey, of which is actually a form of bee saliva, and dehydrated. Bees wax, raw honey and propolis are very antibiotic. If you put raw honey on a bad cut it will not get infected due to the hi percentage of natural h2o2 in it. I personally do not consider bees as animals in the mammal sense. Oranges are porus, unless the pores are sealed with something they will loose their juices very quickly after picking ( I have seen them last for a month or shrival up within a week ) They do have a natural greasy coating that comes from the zest area, and even tho I have grown them I could not tell you if some store bought ones were coated with oil, or just oozing from broken cells. I would recommend if you want what you are looking for you might buy one of those indoor minature trees and grow them for yourself.

Guest guest
The taste of oranges has become insipid lately. Theyre my least desired fruit right now. I think ill just wait until i live near orange trees so i can enjoy the fresh taste of indigenous oranges. Produce can lose up to 75% of its nutritional value when its not fresh anyways. Thats probably why they taste so insipid right now. After bees regurgitate their honey into their honeycomb cells, they add its stinger poison which acts as a preservative and sealer. Honey is too sweat for humans and contains harmful acids. It harms the nervous system, promotes tooth decay, and the digestive secretions in your stomach can be inhibited and become upset. Dont waste your money on infamous honey.
