No clue. I recently had some flies (lovely, no?) and just had to be

really vigilant about cleaning up everything they might be at all

interested in, till they went away.

I had no idea! Is that just for ants, or will it work for opther

household nasties as well?

I think the peppermint only works for ants. I sometimes have an essential

oil burner going with lavender, peppermint and eucalyptus, and sometimes

basil - that seems to work fairly well.

And I'm guessing it smells pretty delicious, so even if it doesn't keep

the beasts away, at least you get that!

It can smell lovely - I use essential oils a lot, and incense. I have heard

that keeping a pot of growing basil, well watered, on the windowsill keeps

flies away.

I love that! I've been wanting to start up some herb growing, but just

not doing it... That could just be the thing to push me right on over

the edge!

Thanks Jo!
