Guest guest
OK, this is my recipe for raw food junk food, chips, when you've just gotta have 'em. I slice them as thin as possible. I've heard of soaking them to get out starch. I spread them out on a raw coconut butter greased teflon sheet, not touching sides, then sprinkle with the junk spice of your choice (celtic salt, powdered onion, garlic, etc.) I put them on very low because the coconut butter will probably raise the temp. I like the coconut butter because it gives the chips extra crisp. best, Kathy
Guest guest
Hello, Does anyone know if there are vegan cheetos, doritos or bugles. I'm a pretty strict Vegan I think but I really want some junk food once in a while and I can't find what i'm looking for. Is it ok to eat the food I just mentioned. I don't think it's even real cheese it's chemicals which is horrible but I rather it chemicals than animal products. Thanks, Patty

Guest guest
Just go to the organic section of your market and see if they have any chips... Chances are you'll find some good vegan chips that have ingredients you can pronounce and tell where they came from. I like jalepeno kettle chips myself! Mmm, I'm goin' to the store! ~z - chikalunatic Tuesday, September 07, 2004 7:31 PM Chips Hello, Does anyone know if there are vegan cheetos, doritos or bugles. Guest guest
Thanks for the advice but I already looked and they have only Vegan potato chips. I'm looking for more cheesy junk food like cheetos and doritos. I crave that quite often and I just want something with the same crunch and close in flavor. I used to love Pirate's Booty and eat it all the time but it's not Vegan. It's made with real cheese so I can't eat it. Guest guest
Hi patty, sometimes I crave junk food too, I can't erase all those years as a teenager that I ate that stuff and somtimes still do. Peta has a site call I can't believe it's vegan. http://www.peta.org/accidentallyVegan/ by the way my favorite, non-health store, food junk food is DOVE, dark chocolate bars, and Wise plain potato chips and Laffy TAffy candy. also, btw I'm pretty sure Doritos Nachos has MSG, just so you know. -anouk , patty urrutia <chikalunatic> wrote: > Thanks for the advice but I already looked and they have only Vegan potato chips. Guest guest
And check out http://www.petaeats.com/prod4.asp. They have a listing there for " Tings by Robert's American Gourmet " with the following blurb: William: " Everyone else on the panel says that these Tings remind them of Cheetos. I can't remember the last time I had Cheetos, but these are pretty tasty snacks regardless. " Caleb: " I've always been pretty simple about stuff like chips. I usually go for potato chips, but I'd go out of my way to find Tings. " Maggie: " Ingredients—corn meal, canola oil, nutritional yeast, and salt. That's it—four ingredients. Have you looked at the list of so- called " ingredients " on the back of a bag of Cheetos? There are probably 50, and you'd go cross-eyed trying to read them all in that teeny print. " Mike: " I was always a fiend for Cheetos, and these will take care of any fix, without those toxic-looking orange fingertips that Cheetos always left behind to let everyone know you'd eaten an entire bag all by yourself. " , " Anouk Sickler " <zurumato@e...> wrote: > Hi patty, > sometimes I crave junk food too, I can't erase all those years as a > teenager that I ate that stuff and somtimes still do. > Peta has a site call I can't believe it's vegan. > > http://www.peta.org/accidentallyVegan/ > > by the way my favorite, non-health store, food junk food is DOVE, > dark chocolate bars, and Wise plain potato chips and Laffy TAffy > candy. > also, btw I'm pretty sure Doritos Nachos has MSG, just so you know. > > -anouk > > > > , patty urrutia <chikalunatic> > wrote: > > Thanks for the advice but I already looked and they have only Vegan > potato chips. Guest guest
Oh, all of you people with your talk of chips! Help - now I'm craving them! I just made a store run for sweet potatoes, zucchinis, and Spike Seasoning! Ha..ha..ha... Linda :-) Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils http://www.YoungLiving.com/LGHatton Visit My Home Page at http://www.Ryze.com/go/LGHatton ___ I made Daikon chips!! I lsiced them and dipped each slice in a paste make of soaked sun dried tomatos, soaked raisins, apple cider vinegar, and a little water (NO OIL) and took them out BEFORE they got crispy. They are Wonderful. I don't like sweet potatoes and and these have the texture of dried apples.
