Guest guest
I just wanted to let everyone know why I haven't been here to send out anything or thank all of you who have joined my new list. I am sick and it doesn't seem to be getting better quick enough for me. I have asthma and it has really been kicking me hard this week. I would definitely appreciate some good thoughts right now. I would really like to send out a big thanks to Donna for all of her help getting my list started and getting some of you folks to join. I will hopefully be back soon. *hugs* Tamara ______ PeoplePC Online A better way to Internet http://www.peoplepc.com

Guest guest
I have never tried ginger tea and not sure how to make it or where to buy it. Got a recipe? I really would like to do something herbal instead of all that medicine. Guest guest
You are right...not being able to breathe properly is one of the worst feelings in the world. I was diagnosed with adult-onset asthma about 4 years ago due to mold in the house that we lived in at that time. No one knew it was there til it was too late. Thanks for thinking of me. I do seem to be a lil better today but I still get really winded if I walk very far. That is soooo aggravating! *hugs* Tamara >treazure noname <treazured >Dec 11, 2006 7:17 AM > >Re: Hello groups > >I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well yet! Guest guest
Tamara Heat up a quart of water. Slice up a piece of ginger 2 " long and 1 " in diameter. Let it simmer for at least a half hour. An hour would be good. Drink it or maybe sweeten it with honey. If you get a lot of mucous, then use dry ginger and just add hot water and drink right away. It doesnot taste as good though but it dries up mucous membranes better. However, you can drink the healthiest teas etc., but if you are eating foods with chemicals and white sugar, expect to get asthma. I had asthma until I was in my 20s. I started doing yoga and cleaned up my diet and have been asthma free for over 60 years. Guest guest
I have not tried this, this is from The DailyOm. If you feel ill health coming on, brew a wellness elixir. Simmer three sliced lemons, one teaspoon freshly grated ginger, one clove freshly minced garlic, and one quarter teaspoon cayenne pepper in five cups water until the lemons are soft and pale. Strain a portion into a mug and add honey by tablespoons until you can tolerate the taste. Drinking this potent mixture of antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal ingredients three times each day can ensure your symptoms never progress into a full-blown illness.
