Guest guest Posted December 12, 2006 Report Share Posted December 12, 2006 Hi, I am eeeesing my way into a vegetarian way of life, so please let me know what I do with a bag of soya beans and a huge can of hominy(spelling) ??? that a well meaning friend left on my porch with a card saying ... " Enjoy " I would if I knew how to prepare them , do I have to soak the beans and this is a Mexican can of Hominy with no directions or recipe on it. Guest guest Posted December 12, 2006 Report Share Posted December 12, 2006 Check on www.recipezaar.com and do a search for " vegetarian " I found a great posoulet (sp) using green chilids, hominy, TVP, and like 4 cans of diced tomatoes (sp?) I don't have it on me but i know it's on there. I an't wait to make it as soon as I find some TVP! I make black bean and hominy enchiladas, look in the Mexican recipe folder. I love hominy. Thank you, I have to make some for dinner now, I haven't cooked any up in weeks. It's also good sauteed in butter with chives and some seasoned salt. Or you can saute it, toss in a casserole dish, add some bread crumbs and cheese, it's very versitile.
