Guest guest
The correct word would be " pescatarian " AJ has a recipe group for pescatarians and several of the VG members have joined, many times fish is the last thing given up on the road to vegetarianism. Here's the link to the pescatarian group. gourmet-pescatarian-vegetarian-delights/ Donna --- mrswalp29 <mrswalp29 wrote: > I know this is a recipe group but if you don't mind > my husband and I > have a difference of opinion. Guest guest
I agree Fish was by far the hardest thing to give up. Thanks for the info I will tell my hubby. Steph
Guest guest
Yes, I know this to be true. Not for me but I see it with many newbies joining the group, and often I meet people that tell me they are vegetarian but still eat fish. I think the pescatarians are a step away and I'm glad there is now a group in for them to explore recipes and if they stay in both groups we have a good chance they will give up fish one day soon, and if they don't we still love them and they are welcome in both groups. Guest guest
I still eat fish about once a week or shrimp either one. I don't consider myself vegetarian though I just say that we eat a lot of vegetarian meals. Actually sometimes when we go out to eat if there is something that's an old favorite, I have still ordered it even with meat. I am doing it for health reasons so every now and then isn't as much of a concern for me. But my ultimate goal is to give up all meat (including fish). For now though I am just getting used to things and learning a new way of cooking. This week when I went shopping for our meals I didn't buy any fish or shrimp, of course no other meats, and my DH didn't even ask for his lunch meat (that's been the last thing he wants to give up!). So we are doing very well for us. I find it really challenging to meal plan for veggie meals but I have about 4 weeks worth of plans now so I'm getting there. ) Rachel ~ http://www.thelucastribe.com ~ KUSTOMIZED KIDS ~ http://www.cafepress.com/kustomizedkids Baby & Kids, Pregnancy, Natural Parenting, Wedding, & Personalized Clothing Designs Christmas designs are up!
