Guest guest
I have a recipe. It calls for 1 piece of star anise. I have looked around town and cannot find any. Does anyone know if I can substitute fennel seeds or something else? Thanks GB
Guest guest
Fennel should be a fine substitute GB; they both have that licorice-y taste. What are you cooking? Guest guest
Our supermarkets have little bags of it in the International aisle. It is usually in small white bags of spices near the hispanic foods. (I only know because I needed ground star anise for a licorice scented soap I made awhile back.) , " Guru K " <greatyoga wrote: > > I have a recipe. It calls for 1 piece of star anise.
