I have two three ring binders with clear plastic inserts and everything I

print out goes into one of them. They really hold a lot, keeps the recipe clean

when you're using it, and keeps them in one place.

I used to use 3-ring binders, but I'm moving away from that.

I now use MasterCook software. It only cost $13 and change.

I really like it. I'm trying to get all my recipes into it. It's

really nice when you plan and need a grocery list.

It also gives you the nutritional information on recipes as well.

The site I purchased it from is:

199 & offering=30m_d & mv_pc=t_12so

I was unable to get to a page that would give me any information from that

site, unfortunately. So I did a web search and found the system

requirements. I am sharing here, since others may like to know, as well.

*System requirements:* Windows XP

Processor: PII 266 MHz

32 MB RAM

Free hard drive space: 75 MB

SVGA Video Card 16MB

16-bits Sound Card

Found on this site:

http://www.gameaddicted.com/pc-games/game-details/mastercook-deluxe-version-9_10\

38.html

I was unable to find any info as to if there is a Mac version. :( I

currently use the binder and page protector method, myself. But I also keep

a copy digitally, for quick searches from my " desktop " .

and then when you want to take the recipe from the computer to the kitchen...?

Or should I just move a computer into the kitchen? ;) (An idea I've been

tossing around for awhile now.)

Beth,

If I see a recipe I am particularly interested in, I copy it and email

it to myself. I have a recipe folder in email and sort it by things

like Asian, Mexican, cookies, cakes, etc.

My office has always been in the kitchen (going on 16 years).

I like the fact that the MasterCook will also cut recipes down and

make them larger by what ever percentage you wish.

I sometimes copy the recipe contents from the email and paste it into a word

or works document. That way I can edit the recipe or add my own notes. I

save the document in a Recipes folder in My Documents. Since they are sorted

alphabetically, the recipe is easy to find if I name the file beginning with

the main ingredient.

Most of the time I print the recipe to a .pdf file and save it in the Recipe

folder.
