What is in spenda? Is it like aspartame?

Splenda is made from sugar but has no calories and tastes like sugar.

You can use it equal to sugar. It is like Sweet and Low and Equal but

for me its better. I am diabetic and the doctors tell me to use Splenda.

but sweet and low is aspartame isnt it, i dont want that in my diet,

but if its made from sugar im sure its fine, thanks

I know a lot of people of love it, but to me the whole " tastes like

sugar " thing is a crock! But I am glad it helps you.

Nothing fancy but a simple quick breakfast

 

Good Morning Muffins:

 

1/2 cup melted butter

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup soymilk (more if needed to make smooth mixture)

3/4 c. whole wheat flour

3/4 c. white flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

 

Topping:

Bowl #1 Orange Juice

Bowl #2 cinnamon and sugar

 

 

1. Preheat oven to 350

 

2. Combine butter, sugar, egg and milk. In a seperate bowl combine

flour, baking powder and nutmeg. Fold into wet ingredients.

 

3. Pour into 12 muffin pans and bake for 20-25 minutes or until done.

 

4. Dunk top of muffin in orange juice quickly and then roll in sugar

mixture.
