Guest guest
Hello all I am new to the group. I have been really quiet lately just getting the feel of the group and seeing what is what. I would like to say that the recipes you have been posting are wonderful and have helped me so much. I am very new to being a vegetarian. I did it for multiple reasons which I dont want to start a whole huge conversation on group and hurt anyones feelings .. I am sure you all understand. But my main reasons included a site in which I viewed just made me turn, I did it for health reasons as I am overweight and wanted something I like but yet does not feel like a diet and this is something for me. All other diet plans wanted you to eat meat I didnt. I have been vegetarian now for 3 weeks. I know not long but .. I feel the best I have felt in a long time. Ok so any way . Thank you for sharing the recipes and I really do appreciate you letting me join the group and also sharing your wonderful recipes and such with me. Guest guest
Bunny, Never too late for a life change. (Not a diet.) My 87 yr. old mother has in the last few years changed her eating lifestyle to almost total Vegetarian. She does on occasion eat fish. She is healthier and looks better than in all her years of eating meat. There are special reason for each of us to change our eating habits, but mother's change occured when I used the term " eating flesh " in stead of eating meat. Don't be concerned about your weight..It will even out in a few months . Please take notice of our ages. Mom 87 and I am 65 and on no meds. You too will have a happy , healthy life to look forward to. Congratulations on your choice and welcome. This is a great group. Guest guest
Bunny, I have been a Vegetarian for 25 yrs. Don't be concerned about getting your vitamins. There are so many different fruits , vegetables and grains that you will most likely have a better vitamin intake than you would imagine. I start my day eating a variety of nuts, dried fruit, and whole grains. I also have a cup of green tea or some blend of loose tea. At noon I usually eat some type of home made veggie/or bean patty as a sandwhich. Just because sandwhiches are a favorite. I use Veganaise because it is delicious. During the afternoon I often eat a few raw vegetables/a green mix with dressing. Normally I do not eat after 4 PM unless it is a snack of popcorn and fruit juice. I suppliment with Flax seed oil and a liquid mineral every other day or so. I drink only bottled water and buy organic as often as possible. There are not enough hours in the day to eat all the fun foods available. Try some of the great recipes in the files and experiment with your favorites. Being a Vegetarian is just way too much fun. The food combinations are endless. Sending smiles and hugs Deanna in Colorado , " Bunny Olmsted " <bunnys.creations wrote: > > Deanna, > > Thank you for saying one thing to me more then ever ..
