Guest guest
I am new and not sure of how to go about posting recipes. To me meatless is vegetarian, but I know there are other definitions. I would like to share some meatless recipes, but some have cheese, some have eggs and some have both. There are recipes with chicken broth. I realize this is a no, but can you substitute something? I am OK with the broth at this point in my meal planning, however I do not want to offend, if I share a recipe having this in it. Feed back would be appreciated. Thanks very much. Guest guest
Hi Barb, Welcome & glad you're here Cheese & eggs are ok to post but you should substitute vegetable broth or mushroom broth for any chicken or beef broth in recipes you share here. Looking forward to seeing your recipes. My husband & I used to come to Az often to see baseball spring training and have enjoyed many great meals around the Phoenix area. Guest guest
To me, vegetarian means no meat, poultry, or seafood. Use veggie broth instead of chicken broth... , " Barbara Kipper " <Kipper38 wrote: > > I am new and not sure of how to go about posting recipes. > > To me meatless is vegetarian, but I know there are other definitions. > I would like to share some meatless recipes, but some have cheese, some > have eggs and some have both. Guest guest
-Barb, Welcome and fear not . It is not easy to offend a Vegetarian/Vegan by mentioning meat or meat by-products..LOL We who have been Vegetarian for some time realize that we can substitute ingredients. Just for your information there are some great tasting powdered/cubed vegetable broth substitutes. There are few recipes that cannot be adapted. Many of us do eat some eggs and cheese but we do not eat anything that contains animal products. Check out the files and you will be able to adapt your recipes and then post. I personally am always happy to see new ideas and recipes. You may find that some of your recipes have already been posted so will help you adjust yours.
