Guest guest
Hi Wee, It was Sri Lanka. The British VSO volunteers used to tease us American English teachers asking how we could teach English when all we spoke was American lol. Patootie is a G-rated word for butt. Wishing you a happy healthy New Year & always Diane , wee wrote: > > Heh! Guest guest
Yeah, in the UK, you might say " arse " or " tush " or " bottom " or " rump " ... Guest guest
I was going to add tuckus, but it's not spelled that way, and turns out to not be British, after all (however, perhaps buttocks, which it references, might be?): tok·us / & #716;t & #596;x & #601;s, & #712;t & #650;x & #601;s/ –noun Slang. the buttocks. Also, tochis, tuchis. Guest guest
I think tush is American, Erin, I have never heard that over here except on American TV programmes. Arse or bum (but neither in polite company), bottom, derriere (if we're feeling particularly European). I haven't heard rump, except referring to animals, but then there are so many regional variations. First thing's first, USA is on my mind this minute You guys are too funny & always using funny words and I keep learning them on here I guessed it meant butt but wanted to hear it from you for complete confirmation. Wishing you & yours the most awesome 2007. Wee On 8 Jan 2007 at 5:25, strayfeather1 wrote: > Hi Wee, > It was Sri Lanka.
