Guest guest
does anyone have a recipe for ensure? My 10 year old needs to gain 5 pounds and since we went veggie he has lost 3 pounds. He likes nuts and stuff but is not gaining so the doctor says ensure. I looked online without any help. Thanks Hugs Steph

Guest guest
Steph, I would try something else. Make walnut milk or almond milk. However, I would first make split milk. Split milk is the best thing unless you are vegan. My teacher said children would grow tall by drinking split milk. Drink often. It has lots of protein. Use the curds for making panir. Split milk 1 quart of milk 2 tsp. lemon juice or vinegar Boil milk. When boiling, turn to simmer and add lemon juice or vinegar. Curds and whey will form. Strain the whey out with cheese cloth. Personally, I think sheer nylon works better. I put nylon in a colander and strain into a bowl. GB , " mrswalp29 " <mrswalp29 wrote: > > does anyone have a recipe for ensure? Guest guest
does this taste bad? He is so picky and wont drink even soy, rice milk unless it has some honey or molasses in it. We drink soy milk. I dont want to buy ensure because of what it is made of and it is so expensive for the amount she recommends. Steph Food fight? Guest guest
Steph I do not know what you replied to. The post is not printed at the bottom. If you are refering to whey, I do not think it tastes that good. Maybe make a smoothie with whey, strawberries, bananas, flax seed powder and honey. Use it in place of milk. It is much less likely to cause allergies compared to milk. Sometimes you have to weigh the taste against the benefits. Is he doing sports and exercising? Exercise is much more important than nutrition. GB , Steph <mrswalp29 wrote: > > does this taste bad? He is so picky and wont drink even soy, rice milk unless it has some honey or molasses in it.
