Guest guest
Yesterday I made GB's Corn Millet Muffin recipe. Unfortunately I completely overbaked them and I created 18 corn bricks. (I baked them for 30 minutes -- they _looked_ nice and golden, but Guru thinks 15 minutes would have been closer to the mark.) I started throwing them away (once they cooled they were true bricks!) then I thought, gee, these crumble beautifully. And they contain a lot of lovely honey and millet! But I rarely use breadcrumbs and never cornbread crumbs. Does anyone have a good suggestion for how to utilize these bricks made of lovely organic ingredients? :-) I'm sure the recipe is good, but don't overbake them! I was in the experimenting sort of mood this week. I also made some Barley Water. I love love barley and I've been curious about Barley Water since watching Mary Poppins as a kid ( " ...and she'll never smell of Barley Water! " ) I followed a recipe from foodnetwork.com. It's pretty interesting! It contains honey and lemon juice and zest so I suspect it's very healthful. :-) Sharon
Guest guest
You bet, crumble them on top of chili, or make stir fried greens and stir those into them just as you eat the grens, you can also make a stuffing with them and bake in a dish. Guest guest
I would use them anywhere a recipe calls for bread crumbs in stuffings, for example for stuffing mushrooms, bell peppers or miniature winter squashes...maybe even zuchinnis in the summer. , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > You bet, crumble them on top of chili, or make stir > fried greens and stir those into them just as you eat > the grens, you can also make a stuffing with them and > bake in a dish. > Donna > --- Sharon Zakhour <sharon.zakhour wrote: > Does anyone have a good > > suggestion for how to utilize > > these bricks made of lovely organic ingredients? > > :-) > > > And the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply > So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why > He said you look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do > So I took off my hat I said imagine that, huh, me working for you. > Source: 5 Man Electrical Band - Signs > > > > ___________________ _______________ > Finding fabulous fares is fun. > Let FareChase search your favorite travel sites to find flight and hotel bargains. > http://farechase./promo-generic-14795097 >
