Guest guest
I've always heard lemon and ginger. As for the lethargic, her iron may be low. That happened with me with my 2nd child, I would be in tears by 9am because I was so tired. An iron supplement perked me right up. Guest guest
Hi all I am hoping some-one here might be able to offer assistance. A friend of mine is pregnant with her second child. She is about 8 weeks at the moment. She is still suffering from morning sickness and appears lethargic and depressed (the latter is my opinion, although she is a woman under a lot of pressure, including financial, and I am not sure she really enjoys her job any more). Can any-one suggest ideas recipes or ideas which may ameliorate her morning sickness? Thank-you Douglas Never miss an email again! Toolbar alerts you the instant new Mail arrives. Check it out. Guest guest
Douglas, Saltine crackers and Gingerale are what helped me the very most. Oily foods made it far worse. Charcoal tablets/capsules may help. They always help here with stomach aches and nasea. I don't know, since I didn't realize what a great thing Charcoal was at the time of my pregnancy. Have her check at your library for a book called What to Expect when you are Expecting. http://www.amazon.de/What-Expect-When-Youre-Expecting/dp/089480829X It is so full of great info about what is going on inside your body each month, as the baby grows. It gives tons of tips for different situations. It is so much more great info than a doctor will ever tell you about. Most bookstores carry it. I was shocked by how tired I was that first trimester and I felt so much better after reading in there that the first and last trimester, you would probably have low energy and this was normal. This was due to the fact that the placenta, the power house for the baby is being built that first trimester. The last Trimester the baby grows very rapidly getting large enough to survive on the outside. It said that the body uses more energy on a daily basis to perform these tasks during those trimesters than a someone trying to climb Mt Everest would use. And then think of all the things you are doing on top of that, that life requires. Hopefully she is increasing her folate and other vitamins to commenstate for the her and her babies needs. Guest guest
Dpouglas Ginger tea is the best thing. Eat easy to digest foods so leave out cheeses and tofu, etc. GB > > I am hoping some-one here might be able to offer assistance. A friend of > mine is pregnant with her second child. Guest guest
When I was pregnant, I could not stand the smell of ginger. I alternated cups of chamomile and peppermint teas through the morning sickness; the only foods I could tolerate were potato chips, granola and yoghurt.
