hahahaha lemon meringue is very hard to make. I

tried my mom's delicious mile high recipe too. I had

lemon soup with rubber on top.

Is your partner vegetarian too?

Yup, she is, but then she's just all around awesome, not that I'm biased

or anything :)

 

Lol, glad I'm not the only one who's made lemon slime :) Now that I

think of it, there's a strawberry meringue pie recipe in Still Life with

Menu that I used to make pretty regularly, but I could never get the

meringue to be anything but a sort of sad looking, tasteless plop.

Since the filling's very pretty and yummy, I gave up on the meringue

part, but kept making the pie. It's been at least four or five years

since I've made it--Hmm, there's a thought :)

meringue is persnickety for sure! my grandmother was a genius at it. don't try

to make it on a humid day!! lemon meringue pie is my all time fave!
