Guest guest
" We're all going to die anyway so whay not die happy? " I have heard it all, in my 60+ years. Over 20 of those years as a Vegetarian. People say the same things about wearing seat belts, cigarette smoking, drug/alcohol abuse, being obese, sun bathing(burning),un-protected sex, etc., etc, etc. Time for all of us to take responsibility for our own actions. We create our own lifestyles and reality. The choice is ours.. Sending smiles and hugs Deanna in Colorado

I am trying to build a healthier lifestyle for myself amd my family. Am beginning to think the waste of time is in talking to brick walls. Guest guest
Debbie, Congratulations on creating a healthier lifestyle for you and your family. You may never know how many you might influence along your life journey. I never try to 'convert' anyone for any reason. It is my belief that everyone is at their own level of understanding. If I'm asked I explain why I am a Vegetarian, but I have found that many times the person asking wants to argue and I have no time for that in my life. I also try to keep an open mind and listen. We never know when a Karmic message might very well be brought to our attention . I have been known to " change my other mind " (as a friend often says). LOL Sending smiles and hugs your way Deanna---
Guest guest
It's funny over the years I hardly ever have anyone try to argue with me. They are usually curious, want to taste my lunch, etc. I have had a few people reply with a little joke but I might give them a laser eye look so they stop. I did experience a very rude man when I placed my order at Behihana last year, he pushed me to the edge matter of fact, I told him look there are 8 of us seated at this table for the next hour and we can make this pleasant. I don't care what you eat so you don't have to be concerned about my order I just placed. It's your choice to drink a full bottle of sake before your meal. He shut up instantly and never said another word, ate 1/2 his meal and took the balance to go. I guess I was a little astounded last week when I was asked about a book I was reading (John Robbins- Healthy at 100) and the response was it was a waste of time. Will just continue eating the same way and reading. I've never told them what I think of their choices but I think they know I wouldn't eat it.
