Guest guest
Thanks for this Shari. FYI, I found the bottle cheaper (and on sale) at the Klean Kanteen website: http://www.kleankanteen.com/products.html Tina
Guest guest
I have a water bottle I use a lot. I have been into the emergen C drinks so have been putting those in my water bottle to rid off any flu. the problem is now the bottle stinks. Does anyone know how to clean it without leaving a aftertaste? I am sure the solution is simple but I havent found the trick. Steph
Guest guest
Try one of the following. * Put some newspaper in it and close it up. This works well in tupperware plastic containers to remove odors. * Put some baking soda in the water bottle and then fill it with water. Close and shake the bottle to mix well. Then leave closed over night and rinse in the morning. * Put about 1/2 c. vinegar into the bottle and fill the bottle water. Cover and mix well. Leave overnight. I'm not sure if this will work on plastic, but it will work on a load of laudry that sours in a washing machine, when forgotten about. I just add about one cup of vinegar to a load of laundry and run it thru a quick wash cycle and the odor is completely gone. Baking soda also works in this case. I wash out my microwave oven with a weak solution of vinegar and water and it removes any odors too. So it is worth a try. Hope one of these helps, Judy - mrswalp29 Wednesday, January 31, 2007 7:11 AM water bottle I have a water bottle I use a lot. Guest guest
Hello, Use some baking soda to make a solution, and let it sit in the bottle for a while, and rinse well. Should deodorize nicely. Best, Danielle in Denver
Guest guest
We had a blood bath on another list about re-using water bottles. Some authorities said one use only or carcinogens build up and leech into blah blah blah. How about a little lemon juice and water in it to get the taste out of it, then well rinsed. Sorry if you also got told that one. Not a great day for the tremors so this will be short one. Hope it helps! Jeanne in GA Looking for earth-friendly autos? Guest guest
Jeanne, I will try all these wonderful ideas. The water bottle I use is hard plastic made to reuse not the ones you buy at the grocery store although I have to say I reuse those also. I try not to waste a lot so I reuse empty containers and everything I can. Steph Finding fabulous fares is fun. Let FareChase search your favorite travel sites to find flight and hotel bargains.
