If anyone knows how to make vegan alfrado sauce I would love to modify this recipe even more. 8oz. spiral pasta 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatos, chopped (not in oil) 1 pkg. frozen spinach (drained and squeezed out excess water) 1 1/2 cup plain soy milk 1 pkg dry alfredo sauce 1/2 cup pine nuts 1. cook pasta when almost done throw in sun-dried tomatos and spinach. Drain well. 2. In a saucepan combine soy milk and alfredo packet bring to a boil add pine nuts and remove from heat. Blend with pasta. * I added a bit of garlic*
Guest guest
I looked for a recipe a few months ago and found one using nutritional yeast and almond milk. The stuff was unedible. I mean gastly horrid. My poor husband gagged and I almost couldn't swollow it. I washed it off the pasta and put on some left over marinara sauce. I can stomach just about anything, but this stuff was bad. I found the same recipe on 3 diffferent sites. I would send it, but I deleted it because I knew for sure I never wanted to make that stuff again. If you find a recipe that tastes good, please let me know. Guest guest
I have made regular Alfredo sauce a few times but not for many years, I would think that if you took some vegan margarine and melted it in a pan and then add some soy Parmesan cheese and soy milk until you get the consistency you want. Guest guest
My wife makes a nice white sauce by blending tofu with some soy milk, then cooking it with onions, garlic, vegan margarine, and maybe other spices and a little Bragg's or soy sauce. Delicious over pasta!!! Guest guest
I posted an alfredo recipe about a month ago. It was very good. Isauteed onions and garlic and mushrooms. I put some walnuts in a spice grinder and made it into a powder. I added water and about 2 tsp. of brewer's yeast. That is all I remember for now.
