I also got caught eating chocolate dipped strawberries by the head chef, he promised to fire anyone eating these. He literally caught me with a strawberry in my mouth.....didn't fire me but taught me how to make flavored vinegars (yea I know that isn't rocket science but I was young, glad to not be fired, he also taught me about mincing vs. chopping vs. dicing. I still can't mince without risking chopping off a digit, pun intended.). Sigh.....still miss that man....too bad he moved to Colorado. I only wonder what they do in the kitchen, probably pull chicken out of the soup and serve to you as vegetable soup. I try to only eat what I cook. I know what goes in the pot. Many Chinese restaurants serve vegetable dishes that have been stir fried in oil and chicken broth. You really have to watch their vegetable fried rice. The vegis are fresh and it is cooked right on the spot. It doesn't sit around, being kept hot, while all the vitimins are lost.
