this is why I only ate food I made myself (really pissed off the line cooks,

but the sous chefs knew me, knew I tipped, let me have the run of the

kitchen.) And I never saw that happen....even if someone pulled out the chicken,

who knows what was in the broth???

I also got caught eating chocolate dipped strawberries by the head chef, he

promised to fire anyone eating these. He literally caught me with a strawberry

in my mouth.....didn't fire me but taught me how to make flavored vinegars

(yea I know that isn't rocket science but I was young, glad to not be fired,

he also taught me about mincing vs. chopping vs. dicing. I still can't mince

without risking chopping off a digit, pun intended.). Sigh.....still miss that

man....too bad he moved to Colorado. Amy

It's very common for people in the food chain to offer

you chicken or fish in restaurants when you ask for a

vegetarian meal. I only wonder what they do in the

kitchen, probably pull chicken out of the soup and

serve to you as vegetable soup. I try to only eat

what I cook. I know what goes in the pot. Many

Chinese restaurants serve vegetable dishes that have

been stir fried in oil and chicken broth. You really

have to watch their vegetable fried rice.

The seed is in bloom, will it meet an early doom

or survive in a tranquil sea?

Does it face an early end, will it find a real friend,

should it be called humanity?

Will creation of man bring death by his hand

or will life be his destiny?

I like mongolian barbecue at chinese restaurants, I know exqctly what is in it,

because I put it there. The vegis are fresh and it is cooked right on the spot.

It doesn't sit around, being kept hot, while all the vitimins are lost.

You will run up against this now and then. Sad but

true. It's easy for her to bully a child with these

questions. It's funny, my nephew gets this once in a

while at college, he just tells them to go rent

Supersize Me and then think about the question you

just asked me.
