Guest guest
Yes, frozen it fine. I toss it into soups near the end of cooking. I will let it thaw, pat it dry and make okra patties or bread and fry. Donna --- Katie M <cozycate wrote: > I had okra for the first time last night. Guest guest
Another good way to use one frozen okra, is to lay one on top of cooking lima beans in the pot, while they are boiling in some salt and water. It is amazing how only one closed pod gives it this great flavor. My neighbor told me that tip. Her mother and grandmother always did it. It is one of those handed down tips that are great. I keep a frozen bag of whole okra in the freezer just for cooking my lima beans with.
