Guest guest
Hi, I have vegan cats. They have been this way for 2-4 years depending on the cat. They are as healthy as can be and the oldest one is now participating in a university study on the subject because they not only do fine as vegans but certain documented cases have show that they can even get healthier so whether your cat is vegan or not don’t let anyone tell you they can’t live well that way! I make mine but it is kind of spendy compared to the grocery store brands. Hey, we all do what we can and what you are doing for yourself is terrific for you and the animals! I feed my cats recipes made with Vegecat (www.vegepet.com). For me, the least expensive and easiest to make recipe seems to be the chickpeas & tofu one. I get bulk tofu at an Asian grocery shop. The Vegecat supplement has the taurine and other nutrients cats need--do NOT try a homemade cat food without it, or you *will* be risking your cats' lives! But with the Vegecat, my cats (seven of them now; my first vegan cat died last year at almost seventeen years of age) are healthy and active and enjoy their food. I also sprinkle a little bit of Evolution kibble (www.petfoodshop.com) over the wet Vegecat stuff, so they can exercise their teeth on something crunchy. (Too much of the Evolution gives them diarrhea.) Yes, it's more expensive than feeding them dead-animal cat food, but it's worth it to me. I would not have any companion animal that could *not* be kept healthy and happy on a vegan diet, because I refuse to support the slaughter industry by buying food for myself *or* for anyone/anything else. Guest guest
gusterrust?! Is it contagious? So a singist be ye? cruelty free songs? From whenst do you hail? I dabble in felines too, still evading the authorities though! Mine are carniverous too, though have not mastered the can opener yet. I play guitar, enjoy armchair gardening, long time project converting my wife to veganism........and would gladly consume kilos of chocolate should the opportunity arise.
