Guest guest
what are you basing this on? ok..lets remember that most ppl traditionally ate very little meat..not all of course, and some cultures are more meat based then others but it takes a lot of resources to raise animals... few ppl could afford historically to raise say, a cow, and then kill it middle east? depends... we are talkin the land of couscous and falafel here.. very mediterranean as well... meat would have been limited to goats...true, its still meat..but...you still would have based yer diet around grains and like africa? thats a whole continent...diet varies hugely depending on where you are talking.. not all of africa are the masai... casava...sorghum..all play important roles in diet now, alas, as ppl there begin to move more and more i nto cities, and life styles change, there is a huge trade in bush meat... but... depends on where you are...east africa is big on sorgum, groundnuts(peanuts), millet, teff, barley, rice, etc and..its not a joke..watermelon ethiopia is sorta a fluke, as it has more meat then other regions..tho, its also the least african... i wonder if their reliance on more meat also has influnced the crippling decades long droughts there.. yams... black eyed peas.. lotsa starches... rvijay07 Dec 15, 2004 6:33 PM Global Heavy Non-Veg Regions. Guest guest
ok well... general impressions are easily skewed our misconceptions of the world are based on cues we see in the media and the like a lot of the times and..pll you talk to might not represent the region very well..you know? look at it this way...talkin to someone from ghana..how are you talkin to them..why?..how are you able t ocontact them while you are in canada? how does this differentiate from the *normal* ghana folk, or does it? know wot i mean? rvijay07 Dec 15, 2004 7:28 PM Re: Global Heavy Non-Veg Regions. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote:>Basing this on mostly general info./impression from reading/talking to people from those regions etc., That is why in my posts here I try to verify all this.VijayTo send an email to -
Guest guest
I have a colleague at work from South Africa, and she says that meat is the main food - very heavy meat consumption. She was over the moon when Nandos opened locally, and she can now get monkey gland sauce (yuk!) for her husband. Jo , rvijay07@m... wrote: > > Following seem to be the globally heavy Non-Veg.
