Guest guest
Hardee's and Carl's Jr are the same company. When Carl's bought Hardee's out, they were gonna change all the names over to Carl's but decided not to because of branding in certain parts of the country. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > news is full of stories on the so-called pc food police backlash.... > carls jr and hardees are big leaders in this (heck..i didn't even know hardees still existed..) > but..its sorta funny..because, even the so-called healthy fare the fast food behemoths serve is full of empty calories and crap... > and..they are considering atkins healthy.. > bacchus help us all > http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6498304/

Guest guest
real men eat kitche, I noticed that this story says this burger is for "young men" who want a big juicy burger and aren't concerned about their weight, well all I can say you won't stay very young, very long on that diet. I have eaten healthy all of my life, thanks to my parents, they never even bought soda, I hated it then but now I am grateful. for me, it's not a trend, there's just no other way to be. To eat healthy is normal to me. People constantly ask me "don't you miss meat? I say to them "no I've never had it. I can't miss what I've never tasted. that's like saying to someone "don't you miss the fiji Islands? when you've never been there. I am thirty two years old. When people ask me my age, they are in shock because they swore that I was around 23-25 years old. I have tons of energy. You can't continue to eat those huge burgers and expect no consequences. Never has it been more true, you are what you eat. The people at hardees are willfully ignorant, trying to hold on to a market of "macho men". This is just marketing and propaganda, and unfurtunately it works. -anouk - fraggle ;TFHB 12/16/2004 2:39:38 PM *healthy* backlash news is full of stories on the so-called pc food police backlash....carls jr and hardees are big leaders in this (heck..i didn't even know hardees still existed..)but..its sorta funny..because, even the so-called healthy fare the fast food behemoths serve is full of empty calories and crap...and..they are considering atkins healthy..bacchus help us allhttp://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6498304/To send an email to -

Guest guest
Well, I was a vegetarian from birth, then as an adult decided to become vegan, and I am raisin my kids vegan, who are 2 and 6. in the 70's my dad left when I was born. my mom moved in with her best friend, they shared and apt in NYC. and her best friend was Seventh Day Adventist, (this religion promotes vegetarianism) She told my mom, there was to be no meat in the household. This worked out, because as a kid growing up in the 1950's my mom hated meat, just because she was a finicky eater and it gave her the creaps. I remember spittin out soya milk as a toddler, because the taste of soy milk hadn't been perfected then. Yuck!! So my kids, in a way will be third generation veggies! Guest guest
Hi Anouk, Yes there is a saying that there are none so blind as those that will not see, which seems to fit the description of the vegan bashing crowd. Interesting observation you made about looking 10 years younger than your actual age, I get that a lot too? Is this a clean living vegan thing? ( Obviously this doesnt apply to you Fraggle!)
