Guest guest
so...like a dweeb have the local news on.. and one of the main stories in of course still the tragedy in SE Asia.... and they have brought up wot would happen if a tsunami hit here....and the way the stories are going, its like local guv'mint and scientists have only thought about it recently..like in the last 3 days... ummmm.. no the whole pacific started to get dialed into a warning system in like 1948 er so..startin in hawaii and then spreading out from there..japan prolly has the most complex warning system of all.... but..heck...california was warned of a tsunami in like, i think 1964..and it hit crescent city...killed like a dozen people...and i know a few years ago they had a tsunami warnin around here as well.. its not a new thing and of course they repeatedly have shown some guy who thinks any warning system is a waste of money and just a boondogle and...where the ehck do they find these people? sux for the folks in sri lanka et al, as last year they had a meeting to see if they were gonna build a similar system in the Indian Ocean like we have in the Pacific, and decided against it... From all articles presented here, I hate to say it but it appears that this tsumani is just a start and we will see more other natural/environmental disasters like these on a greater scale.
