Guest guest
Fraggle; All good choices. If I am around, I'm always up for a good desert trip and meeting random other peoples. When are you going? You know what? Just e-mail me with that, since it's not really vegan-chat. Could be fun. sara (gagrip5 @ ) , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > haven't been to anzo bor. since 1998 depends on how much time i have...and how many ppl i can drag with me tentative plans call fer Saline Valley, Death Valley, and maybe Mojave Natl Park, at the base of the new york mtns... yeah..i luv that site..use to scan it religiously... we shall see wanna go? cheers fraggle sara Hippie, whatever... Guest guest
OK, OK, good point. We do talk about a lot of " whatever " here. Anyway, yeah, I live in Vegas, so right over by all the good parts of the desert. My sister is coming to visit me for her spring break right around then, so it would be really fun to get out with some other people for non-Vegas fun. Really, everything you are considering is so close to me, we could even meet you guys for a 1- day type thing. 26th is this huge punk/whatever music fest here at the skate park, so I am hoping to go to that. But, if better options present themselves... shrugs... As far as food, there is nothing I can really recommend. I will ask a friend who lived in Bakersfield for a long time. Maybe he knows of something. If you pass through Baker, though, do stop at The Mad Greek for one of their juices. They throw everything in the blender before your eyes, and it is wonderful. Food is only OK, though. sara , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > and exactly wot is vegan chat? we've had some very off the way conversations here over the years..heh end of march..around the 23rd to 27th... you reside down there i take it? any good places to eat in the inland empire(fer the ride back)??any good places to eat in the southern sierra? bakersfield? etc.... just checkin... Guest guest
Oh god, please don't call me " the vegas girl " I resent living here nearly every second of every day. I just found out that the best local punk venue was sold and is gonna be remodeled to include 3 bars, gaming, etc. This after the only other real all-ages venue closed a couple years ago. Is nothing safe??? Used to be your perfect punk venue with bare concrete floors, disgusting bathrooms, a little outside pen for smokers, a little inside pen for drinkers, cheap all-ages shows... Now I'm depressed. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > ah yeah..yer the vegas gurl i actually have a ton of friends going down to vegas that weekend as well..soo..who knows...a couple days camping, one day in neontown? been to the mad greek, but that was a LOOOOOONG time ago...before i was even vegetarian.. Guest guest
I do agree. Sometimes the off topic stuff is the most interesting. I belong to some other where talking " off topic " is so frowned upon, one post can get you moderated or even kicked off. Certainly not as fun as this group. sara , " Jo Cwazy " <heartwork@c...> wrote: > ... it's always interesting though :-) > > Jo > > > > > OK, OK, good point. Guest guest
I believe Peter was on a group once, a vegan one, where someone was kicked off for trying to find new homes for a bunch of abandoned kittens! What was that all about? Obviously this is a vegan group so discussions should be sensitive to the feelings of veganism, but general chat on various subjects is fine and enjoyable. Guest guest
Well Peter; Thanks for keeping it this way. I notice also less bickering on this group than most of my others.
