Guest guest
I have a friend at work who understands why her friend is veggie, but has mentioned that sometimes she gets a little tired walking around trying to find somewhere her friend can eat. I pointed out that it's a shame her friend has always to spend hours trying instead of everywhere being able to cater properly for her. I often ask how a chef can be called a chef when they don't know and aren't willing to cater for everyone Jo > I understand your frustration. > My cousin came over for a week one time, > I thought she had a lovely time, but later I found out that she had > complained to everyone she could about how annoying it was to be with > vegetarians. > She told other family members, ( who later told me), about how it > took us two hours to look for a restaurant, and how we read every > label and had to read and inspect every Menu, and how everything was > a problem. > > these are things I do naturally and never thought they would bother > her. of course It is very easy for her to eat, She can go to any > restaurant, anywhere, anytime. >
Guest guest
Hi Andi, I agree with you,- I only like to eat in veggie places aswell and its important for us veggie/vegans to support these restaurants as much as possible. I don't like to eat in restaurants where they serve meat as I worry about contamination aswell as I think they prepare all the food in the same kitchen using the same utensils. I'm lucky there are several vegan restaurants in London and lots of veggie ones,- but some of them find it hard to stay open as they don't get the business they need. I prefer veg*n restaurants, but my partners are omnivores, and I don't tell them what to eat, so we are as likely to go to a veg-friendly omni place as a veg*n place. We don't, of course, go anywhere where I wouldn't be able to find a yummy meal, but I'm able to find a yummy meal most places. serene -- " A conservative is someone who worships the views of dead liberals. Guest guest
Sounds yummy! What's in a Caribbean casserole? Last night I had a cheese-less veggie pizza. DH's brother and wife came in for X-Mas with our brand new 2 month old baby nephew and so we celebrated X-Mas with them last night. My little nephew is sooooo cute! I didn't want to give him back.
