Guest guest
I felt real dizy again yesterday from 5 to 7 pm. I have felt dizzy several times before this in my life but never like recently. From vegan, I went to raw, fasting and fruiterian. All this involves a massive change in my diet. Too many changes too fast I feel. Also, looks like I reduced my daily protein intake too fast. What are the nutrition lackings and other reasons for which one feels dizzy and weak ? What are the solutions ? Thanks. Vijay
Guest guest
Does this happen before you eat or after you eat? If before, might be Hypoglycemia. Not eating frequently enough and the body needing a more level blood sugar, one gets dizzy. Guest guest
It could be anything Vijay. Are you fasting at present? A Hindu friend at work was fasting and working hard - not a good combination. She actually fainted at work. I would think that if you eat enough nuts and seeds you should get enough protein, essential fatty acids and that along with plenty of fruit and vegetables should give you most of the minerals and vitamins you need, apart from D and B12. I have read that if you have lots of fruit and veg it clears toxins from the body but that they are not eliminated easily and are reabsorbed quickly. Steamed rice is very good for mopping up the toxins and transporting them out of the body, but I presume that as a raw veggie you won't be eating rice. I need to get my boddy adjusted to these changes slowly. Initially, I think I must make slow changes and then slowly I can increase pace. For eg., I read a boon on the benefits of fasting for 45 days. One needs to prepare their body for this by eating lesser or fasting initially for 2 to 3 days, or better yet initially, just skip a meal and see its effects on the body. Guest guest
What is the motivation for being a fruitarian? Can a person live on Just fruits? Is it just to clean toxins out of the body or is it for moral reasons. Raw foodism vs Cooked Foods, don't they sometimes have MORE vitamins when cooked? like tomatoes for instance. Wouldn't you be missing out on nutrients that are available in Beans, Potatoes, Grains and Roots all of which have to be cooked? I'm sorry to sound so ignorant. I just want to know if there are any people out there that are succesfully and Healthy Fruitarians for at least a good while. Guest guest
Don't forget that fruits would include seeds and nuts, so it is possible, but would have to be very well planned, and you would either have to eat dirty fruit or take a supplement of B12. Raw foodism vs Cooked Foods, don't they sometimes have MORE vitamins when cooked? like tomatoes for instance. Wouldn't you be missinge. Search the net for general sites on Fruitarian and Raw Veggie diet. They will give you all the basic info. But I will suggest a slow change in my experience. Also being 75% raw for eg., is safer it appears. Vijay

Guest guest
Lots of veggies are known to reduce blood pressure (celery, garlic, onion, tomato, broccoli). Sometimes if those are all combined in one day or eaten in large quantities for a week, it would, in some cases, radically reduce the blood pressure. If you need to look again about low blood pressure, Google hypotension. There are lots of sites that address this. Guest guest
Those are things my herbalist recommended for lowering blood pressure for those that don't want to go the pill route. If, like many vegetarians/vegens, you already have lower blood pressure, this could cause it to go too low for your body. Guest guest
I think I know what happened. I dropped carbs too much too fast. Several sites warn about this. Change needs to be slow and gradual. Everything I experienced is consistent with the side effects of a low carb diet. Starvation, fruits, raw etc., means drastic sudden drop in carbs. Kidney stones, diziness etc., are consistent with this. Vijay

Guest guest
Anouk That is a possibility, especially if Vijay is tired too. You can guage to a certain extent, if you are anaemic by pressing a finger nail for a few moments and then seeing if it turns pink again quickly, and also by the pinkness of the bottom eyelid (just inside). If both of these are very pale you are quite likely to be anaemic. You would also be more breathless than usual, and maybe your hair would thin quite quickly.
