The American Libraries Association and the author Foerstel collect that

information each year. The list has been coming out for quite awhile. The

ALA does a Banned Books Week every year.

Too late. I've been on the Red List since I was five. And, yes, the ol' McCarthy Red List still exists. How does she know, the curious ask <g> Well, she used to go out with a Special Oops Green Beret that was also with the DEA. He looked.

And the ultra curious ask, how the heck does a five year old end up on the Red List? Well, her grandfather (step-father of her adoptive father) was a card carrying Communist. I guess since we all loved him to death cause he was one of the most wonderful people in the world (set up his whole garage so use kids could build towns out of all the mill ends he brought home and parked the car outside) and spoiled us to death and always had rootbeer floats waiting when we arrived, even as small children we all defended him very vocally!

Besides, I'm on other lists since People's Park days (NO, Patty Hearst was NOT kidnapped, she was one of the planners) and being on Alcatraz.

~~sigh~~ What can I say <<eg>>
