91 apparently - which is more than I was expecting it to say as I am

overweight with a tendency to high blood pressure. It must be that

my other good habits are offsetting the bad :-) Now, if I could lose

weight, my blood pressure would go down, and my score might go up

even more!

I will live to be 93 years old.

I would be interesting to still be chatting on vegan chat when all of us are that old. Hopefully we will be talking about our New Vegan Society, how beautiful RE-forestation is and how eating animals is now illegal.

well I got a 97 but it didn't ask the important things like " have you

ever had cancer? "

I'll be honest - I really, really hope for 55 (I'm 41 now).

That's daft, isn't it. Your habits would still be the same, and your past medical/camily history would still be the same.

I got 91... but I noticed that if I was currently 20 years older, than shoots up to 103! I reckon they're both a bit short of the mark :-)

Thank you Jo :-) 97 actually seems so very old - although my dad is

82 and could kick my butt so I've got good genes (at least some) on

my side.

But so many people think of breast cancer as either a disease of

older women or that it's one that is " curable " these days. In my

online group (women dx'd under 40) we've lost 4 members in the last

year or so. There are many women with recurrances, metastases,

secondary cancers (lymphoma, leukemia), etc. I went to a " support "

group and everyone was my mother's age. They expressed their fears

of not seeing their grandchildren grow up. Valid fears of course,

but hard to relate to as my kids were just in middle school while I

was going through this.

So I take nothing for granted and if I can make it to 55 without a

recurrence my kids will both have graduated from college and will be

adults (27 and 29). Everything after that will be icing on the

(vegan)cake. ;-)

I suppose the largest numbers are among older women, but lots of younger

women get it too - and 1 in every 200 cases of breast cancer happen in men.

I really think that the best thing you can do for yourself (after eating

really healthily) is to keep positive and happy - a hard thing to do I am

sure. Keep thinking of yourself as healthy, not even cancer-free because

when you concentrate on the illness the body tends to put that into action.

If you concentrate on wellness, your body may tend to wellness.

I have not read much research on breast cancer, but I expect they are and

will be refining the treatments all the time.

With Anouk's email about us all still chatting when we are in our 90's -

maybe we should have an online birthday party for your 55th birthday.

Best wishes

Sounds good to me! Hmmm, that will be 8/29/2018!

And you are right - I focus on wellness and living a good healthy life

(balanced with fun - read, beer).

Cancer can actually bring about a lot of good in your life (though

when people tell you that at first you want to kick them in the

teeth). It's allowed me to see a side of a lot of people I might not

have seen otherwise.

Oh Shit I only got 82., Only 38 years left to enjoy myself, maybe I should take up smoking dope again, and down some pills, in between the bottles of Vodka?

Does anyone take these things seriously?

No, but they are fun. Just like the one where you get a pirate name, a Hobit name, an Indian name, etc.
