Guest guest
I saw Supersize Me with my 3 children (ages 10 to 13) and they loved it. There were some comments about sex, but, my kids did not comment on them. They talked more about the food issues. Alex (?), the vegan girlfriend does come across very well. Overall, it is a great documentary that everyone should see and talk about afterward. -Tracy
Guest guest
I watched the movie with my teenage sons and 10 year old daughter a few months ago. They haven't asked to step inside a McDonald's or any other fast food restaurant since they saw it.
Guest guest
I watched Supersize Me with my daughters ages 12 & 13. We stopped it frequently to make sure they understood what was going on. It was a real eye opener for them and sparked a lot of great conversation for us as a family. The only real uncomfortable part was the discussion of Morgan's decreased sexual vigor. Guest guest
We watched " Supersize Me " with our children (boy 14 and girl 9). In hindsight, had I seen it before, I probably wouldn't have wanted the 9 year-old to watch it, due to the discussions about sex and " getting it up " , etc. Afterwards, my daughter said she thought that the girlfriend was " wierd " , I think due to her frank openness about the state of their sex life. Other than that, I think the movie was fine for the kids. A bit gross, but fine. I have heard that there is a version of the movie made for high schools. I think this is a GREAT idea! I do highly recommend the movie. I just wish I could get my meat-eating friends to watch it! You can always preview it your self and fast-forward past inappropriate places. Guest guest
My colleague at work (who's vegetarian) showed it to her kids (early teens) and she said her son, who wasn't veg, went veg after seeing it and is still veg now (several months later)! So I'd say, YES, show your kids! ;-) Bob , " Alan " <soy_decaf_latte> wrote: > > > I recently saw Moran Spurlock's documentary, Supersize Me, about the > fast food industry and the US obesity epidemic. Guest guest
I know most of you have already seen this, but I watched it on the telly tonight. I tell you what - I now don't feel like eating anything at all for days. All that fat - my god - what a thing to do to yourself. And the stupid thing was that he was only on a vegan diet until he got his blood and liver back to health! Jo

Guest guest
I must admit I have not been in a Burger King or MacDonalds to say for definite that they don't have indoor playgrounds, but from the outside, and looking through the windows, it doesn't look as though they do. Guest guest
In the U.S. whether the playground is indoors or outdoors is dependent on the climate where they are built. Portland gets a bucket of rain, Humboldt County (California) gets a bucket of rain, and those two definately have the indoor stuff. I would imagine, in the U.S. that places with lots of snow would also have the indoor playgrounds. I will admit that when we were traveling a lot, we would stop at them, use buying an O.J. as an excuse to let the kidlets stretch their legs and play on the playgrounds. Guest guest
Nah, it was a child sensibilities issue. Along with age and needing renovation, a certain segment of society had deemed it their own personal love nest. And when it's 115F (about 46C) in the summer on a regular basis, you can't really go to the park after about 8am, so it's place like this that allow your children to not be cooped up all day long. I'll admit I'm guilty of the same thing because of the weather where I used to live.
