Does anyone else see a coralation between gay people and being

vegatarian? When I noticed that of all the non meat eaters I've ever

known, a great deal of them are gay, or bi, or at least gay positive.

Has anyone else noticed this congruency?

Here's a possibilitly. It's about evolution. As the world gets more

and more over populated, meat eating becomes less and less sustainable,

hence the increase in non meat eaters. Also, as the world becomes more

and more over populated, more people come out of the closet, hence gay

people tend not to reproduce as much, if at all, or opt for adoption.

What do you think?

Yes, I'm gay.

You are lucky that you know many non meat eaters regardless of their

sexual orientation. I do not know any except me and I am definatly

not gay.

I don't know any gay vegans. I know a couple of gay vegetarians, but most

of my gay friends are meat-eaters.

Hi Jeff,

my boss is gay and he eats tons of meat. he loves it ,there aint no stopping him, in fact he has a problem with me.

I think gays should and will come out of the closet if / when they are more acepted by conservative/religious people who dominate the culture.

and they should do it through laws, and by just being themselves, claiming their rights.

as far as reproduction goes, a lot of heteresexuals, that I know, they just have kids, cause they think theyre supposed to.

I see a lot of it as being cultural, you know, you go to school, you get married, you have kids, you retire, you die.

they don't really think about it, or know why, it's just something there suppose to do.

I have two boys. and know that I think back about it..... I had a lot of family pressure...... being catholic.

about doing the normal mainstream thing.

but its done.

I honestly think less of the wrong people should have them. People who just consume, and are idiots.

Now that I do have two kids, I am doing my best to raise them to be as sentive to the planet as possible.

Maybe I don't know many catholics but I don't know anyone who has had kids just because they were expected to, or who had thought so little about their lives that it just happened. Maybe it depends where in the world you live, but it doesn't seem to happen much in my part of the world. Incidentally, there seems to be a baby boom at present, with a lot of thirty-somethings deciding they do want children after all.

I can't say I have. Just off the top of my head, the vast majority of my

friends who I know are gay are omnivores. I can only think of one who is

veggie, and about 20 who aren't.

It isn't quite what it used to be but part of being Catholic, like Mormons, is having kids. Catholics aren't to use any birth control except the rhythm method and crossed legs. Lots of babies resulting from that. Mormons are expected to have at least 4 children.
