Guest guest
California Goldminers Mix This mixture is a perfect snack for anyone but is especially good for diabetic or those who must restrict their sugar. It is so named because in 1849 the miners took such a mix with them as they trudged through California gold country in search of their fortunes. Combine equal portions of: Chopped dried apricots Chopped dried nectarines Chopped dried pears Chopped dried dates-raisins Unsweetened coconut Chopped dried peaches Chopped dried prunes Chopped dried apples Chopped dried figs Toasted nuts, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, etc. Mix all ingredients together and store in tightly sealed glass containers, or package in plastic large baggies. ______________________________\ ____ TV dinner still cooling? Guest guest
I don't know how to ask this, butttttttt, is there any way you know to cut the calories other than smaller portions. Perhaps a place which sells most of the ingredients in a organic disposition. Guest guest
this is a great recipe, but by its nature, its calorie laden. Its just one of those dishes for which portion control is a must! Probably make a great trail snack, where you're burning the calories as fast as you're shoveling them in! - " Ronald Stanford " <stanfor2 Thursday, February 15, 2007 10:21 PM Re: California Goldminers Mix >I don't know how to ask this, butttttttt, is there any way you know to cut >the calories other than smaller portions.
