Curried Lentil Pate (Vegan)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

125 g/4oz Split Red Lentils.

200 ml /1/2pt Water.

1 Red Onion -- peeled & finely chopped.

1 Garlic clove -- crushed.

2 Teas p Curry Powder.

Freshly Ground Black Pepper.

 

1)Wash the lentils and cook in the water until tender and all the water has

been absorbed.

 

2)Mash with a fork.

 

3)Dry fry the onion and garlic, add the curry powder, mix well and fry for a

further 1 -2 minutes.

 

4)Mix the onion mixture with the mashed lentils and season to taste with

Black Pepper. Leave as it is or for a smoother pate blend down.

 

5)Chill before using.
