Thanks for posting this. The reason I didn't copy the Linda

McCartney recipe was only because it started out with veggie

burgers, which would make it more expensive, yes? I'll bet it's

good, though. :)

Gimme lean is sold in the freezer section I think and you can make it into a

loaf, patties or balls.

You can also use TVP to make them.

Hi all! In preparation for my new baby's arrival, I've started freezing some

meals and so-called " meal kits " to avoid the fast food trap that is likely

to set in. A friend of mine mentioned making meatballs, they can be baked,

frozen, then simply reheated for meals or snacks. What I'm lacking now is a

good recipe for meatballs that don't contain meat. I still haven't ventured

into the world of tofu, so I'd like to avoid that for now, or at least until

I have time to try it out and test it on the family. Also, I'd appreciate a

mix that can possibly converted easily into a " meat " loaf or " ham " burgers or

other similar meals!

TIA,

Liz

I use Gimme Lean often. In fact, I am making sausage gravy this AM. But, I

have only seen it in the sausage flavor, although I have seen it is in the

b**f flavor.

The sausage is really good, especially with blueberry pancakes.

Hi there!

So you basically use lentil? Do you have to soak the lentils first for a few

hours or what? I want to try that recipe.
