Guest guest
I think Vegemite and marmite are very similar and can probably be used interchangable. No idea where to find either one in the US though.... , " Sue " <kup wrote: > > Is that the same as Vegemite from Australia? > Sue > > > ---- > > mel > 3/23/2007 2:52:38 PM > > Re: Re:Lentil and Wild Mushroom Bolognaise > > Marmite is 100% vegetarian, made from yeast extract. low calorie, no fat, no > sugar, no saturatated fats.good source of vitamin B and B12, Hope that > answers your question > > > >
Guest guest
from what I have heard about vegemite, I don't want to find it. An australian friend told me it resembles axle grease and smells like keroscene. Guest guest
They are very similar - I prefer Marmite, as I think Vegemite tastes a bit sweeter. Cooks Thesaurus suggests that you could substitute miso. Christie (don't think I could live in a world without Marmite) , " cabrita_trl " <roseta_lleo wrote: > > I think Vegemite and marmite are very similar and can probably be > used interchangable.
